Participants were 260 first-year students studying General English at the Bunkyo English Communication Centre (BECC) at Hiroshima Bunkyo University in Japan. Students were given an iPad Self-efficacy questionnaire coupled with a Showbie Perceptions and Attitudes survey. The purpose of this research was to explore student perceptions of this newly adopted LMS as it pertained to ease of use and perceived usefulness. Findings revealed positive indicators regarding the potential for Showbie in a language learning context as a platform to support both face-to-face and online learning.
