| 内容記述 | This small study reports on the teacher’s reflection and (9) nine students’ views of a media literacy elective course designed to develop English proficiency and foster critical thinking in the English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classroom. Recognizing the pivotal role of media literacy in developing language skills and critical thinking, the course employs aspects of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) and Project-Based Learning (PBL) approaches by integrating media analysis with practical projects to foster comprehensive language acquisition and develop critical thinking skills. Data were collected through a final course evaluation questionnaire, assessing the course's effectiveness in improving students' English. Preliminary findings indicate that students perceive the course as beneficial, reporting increased engagement and a deeper understanding of diverse media messages across movies, advertising, music, and social media. Students also reported that the course improved their English vocabulary. These insights highlight the potential of integrating CLIL and PBL methodologies in EFL curricula to create more dynamic and effective language learning experiences for students. | |||||||||||
